Design Heuristics
In the 2010s I was actively involved in research using JDM principles to increase creativity in the design process. This work led to several papers and a set of cards empirically validated to facilitate exploration of the design space by increasing the number of unique ideas as well as other metrics commonly used in the creativity literature.
Much of the work is summarized in our webpage on design heuristics. Links to many of the pdfs files are on that website, and you can also look at my CV.
My consistent collaborators on this work were Colleen Siefert, Shana Daly and Sela Yilmaz. There were several undergraduate and graduate students who contributed to this work as well as postdocs.
